In this article we describe the following topics:

Creating a Local Agent

To manage your Local Agents navigate to Settings > Agents:

To create a new Local Agent click on + Create agent button to start.

alt text Step1: Name your agent; Step2: Enter description for the agent; Step3: Wait for the activation.

Here is an example of Agents configuration page with already created/activated agents: alt text Image shows one activated Local Agent called Local DB and two inactive agents waiting for activation: HQ CRM and HQ DB.

Please note: as of this moment the Local Agent creation is organised by our team only. Get in touch with support for further instructions.

Using a Local Agent

Here we assume that there is at least one activated Local Agent accessible to your account. If there are no active Local Agents available to you, you will not able to deploy a component into a Local Agent as described in this article. This article describes two cases of component deployment:

  1. The component with no credentials is deployed.
  2. A component which requires security credentials.

Deploy component without credentials

If the component requires no credentials to be loaded then here is how to select an enabled agent to deploy the component:

Picture shows the stage where the Local Agent gets selected. In above example, there are two activated Local Agents. Everything else gets configured as usual.

Deploy component with credentials

In the case when the component requires security credentials to function, the credential creation step must be completed first:

The picture shows credential creation with a Local Agent called Local DB.

The newly created credential will be associated with the given Local Agent only. This way, when the specific credential is selected during the integration flow design the component will be deployed to the selected agent:

Image shows the security credential selection during the integration flow design. There are two credentials, both associated with the Local Agent called Local DB.

After this step, there are no differences in integration flow design.
